Elected to Canmore Town Council in 2007, serving until May 4, 2012, when I resigned to seek the Mayor's seat which was vacated by previous Mayor, Ron Casey.  Since re-joining Council in October 2013, I have worked hard to ensure that Canmore and the views of every citizen of Canmore are understood at all levels of government!

I will continue to be your strongest advocate, if elected as Your Mayor!

I have represented Canmore at meetings involving both provincial and federal ministers, advocating our situation (s) in Canmore and clearly requesting assistance as needed.  This has involved conferences and issue specific meetings.

I have represented Canmore during negotiations with other municipalities.  This has included the Canmore Inter-municipal Committee, the Bow Valley Regional Housing Authority, and the Bow Valley Waste Management Commission.

Served as Deputy Mayor at numerous community based functions, including graduations, conference greetings, special events, as  well as PR functions making award presentations when the current mayor was unavailable.

I have participated in numerous fund raising events in Canmore and the Bow Valley, including the Wild Rose Hockey Challenge (for Bow Valley Victim Services) and the newly acquired disabled-access van at Bow River Lodge.

I have served on a number of council committees, at varying levels of responsibility:

Assessment Review Board

Business Revitalization Zone (Downtown Canmore)

Canmore Community Housing Corporation Board

Canmore Museum and Geological Society Board

Canmore Public Library Board

Community Enrichment Advisory Committee (now Community Services Advisory Committee)

Community Preparedness Committee

Inter-municipal Committee

Policing Committee

Subdivision Development Appeal Board

Wildsmart Committee

Served on the following provincial boards:

Bow Valley Regional Housing Authority

Bow Valley Waste Management Commission
